One of the issues that my client met when he asked me to design a Magento store for him was how to edit the top links on the Magento store. Top links include Home, Shopping cart, Wishlist, Sign in, Sign out, etc. He asked me how he could eliminate the Wishlist link as well as add some extra links in there. So here we go again, another tutorial on how to edit top links in Magento.

In Magento, the default method to show the products to consumers is grid mode and the default number of products to be shown at each page is 8. It’s so inconvenient, to both consumers and store sellers that they can only see few number of products per page and need to navigate to each page if they want to view more products. I also found this is inconvenient to designers because sometimes, the sidebar is long but the product grid is short and there’re a lot of white spaces under the product grid. Therefore, it’s necessary to change the default number of products in grid mode to enhance shopping experience for consumers and also makes the page look nice. There are many ways to achieve this, but I will show you the shortest and easiest way.
